After more than 27 years in radio, I’ve had the opportunity to hear thousands of songs and watch countless artists develop their sound. So when a song really catches my attention, I pay attention.
I really like what Blvk H3ro is doing on “Strictly Good Vibes (Remix)” with Perfect Giddimani and The Movement. This is the kind of record that immediately puts you in a different space. The combination of Jamaican roots, reggae energy, strong musicianship, and that positive message of leaving negativity behind makes this one stand out.
What I particularly like about Blvk H3ro is the way his sound fits into the collaboration without getting lost. He brings his own identity and energy to the record, and that’s important. After all these years in radio, I’m always listening for artists who have something of their own to say and a sound that can take them somewhere.
“Strictly Good Vibes” is exactly what the title says—good vibes, positive energy and uplifting music. And honestly, we could use more of that right now.
I’m always looking for new Caribbean talent, and Blvk H3ro is definitely an artist I’ll be keeping my eye—and my ears—on. I’m looking forward to hearing more from him and seeing where he takes his music.
