After nearly three decades of playing reggae, dancehall and Caribbean music on the radio, I’ve watched Shaggy do something very few artists have been able to do—take Jamaican music into different musical worlds without ever losing his Caribbean identity.
Now, Shaggy is raising the stakes once again with the official remix of “Lottery,” featuring Jeremih, Rick Ross and Skillibeng.
Released September 18 through Ranch Entertainment and VP Records, the remix brings together four distinctive voices from reggae, dancehall, hip-hop and R&B, creating the kind of cross-genre collaboration that Shaggy has built his career around.
The original “Lottery,” featuring Jeremih, is the title track from Shaggy’s 13-track studio album, released May 15, 2026. At its core, the project is about betting on yourself, trusting your instincts and taking creative risks.
And honestly, that message fits Shaggy.
I’ve watched his career evolve over the years, and one thing has remained consistent: he has never been afraid to experiment. From reggae and dancehall to pop, R&B and hip-hop, Shaggy has repeatedly found ways to introduce Jamaican music to audiences around the world.
On this remix, Jeremih maintains the smooth R&B energy of the original, while Rick Ross brings his commanding hip-hop presence. Skillibeng represents the new generation of Jamaican dancehall, adding his raw and contemporary energy to the track.
And then there’s Shaggy—the musical connector who brings all these different sounds together while keeping that unmistakable Caribbean flavor front and center.
For me, “Lottery” is more than just a title. It represents the idea of taking a chance, believing in yourself and being willing to see where that chance takes you.
After all these years, Shaggy is still taking those chances—and this time, he’s bringing Jeremih, Rick Ross and Skillibeng along for the ride.
The “Lottery” remix is available across major digital streaming platforms.
